The success of a FlexNet system rests with a team approach: Sensus must provide its partner with the thought leadership and technological excellence regarding the system, while the utility must provide knowledge and proficiency of the project team members. From the initial installation to routine maintenance and troubleshooting activities, the cornerstone of a successful FlexNet program is grounded in the delivery of each partner’s role.
Sensus already drives industry innovation through its services, features and tools to better prepare the utility industry for the future. But to further deliver on its role in the FlexNet environment, we are taking this leadership to another tier for our partners by offering Sensus University.
This progressive educational facility is designed to keep Sensus partners on the cutting edge of solutions and performance centered on the Sensus FlexNet system. This environment enables customers to gain the insight and experience to intelligently utilize their resources with unprecedented efficiency.
Sensus University:
An overview of the FlexNet system is also a vital part of the program, so that participants understand the operation and purpose of each FlexNet component, and its significance within the entire FlexNet system. Understanding this transforms our customers into partners who understand the strategic vision that Sensus is promoting in preparation of a Smart-Grid, smart utility environment.
Sensus wants each and every partner to have proven, real-world solutions at the ready. Sensus University provides training that not only imparts knowledge, but also ensures that participants understand and retain what they learn.
Sensus uses a Systematic Approach to Training in course development and implementation to assure courses meet FlexNet AMI project needs. This technique helps the instructor emphasize those tasks that are critical to FlexNet system reliability. Student participation and evaluation assure a quality training experience.
FlexNet project personnel and contractors involved in the deployment, maintenance, and/or operation of the FlexNet system should attend. These include project teams such as RF Technicians, IT Users and Administrators, Meter Shop personnel, Utility Engineering, and other project personnel responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the FlexNet System.
